Captain Nick Hutchinson was born and raised in the beautiful state of Maine, where he was a part of The Salvation Army since childhood. His passion for ministry truly came alive while attending The Salvation Army’s War College in the downtown eastside of Vancouver, BC. It was there that God confirmed His calling to become a Salvation Army officer and where he met his wife, Michelle. They have been serving together in full-time ministry since 2013 and are the proud parents of three teenagers.

Today, Captain Nick serves as the Corps Officer (Pastor) of The Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Harbor Light Corps in Dallas, Texas. He is passionate about helping people discover the hope, purpose, and new life found in Jesus Christ.

When he’s not serving at the corps, Captain Nick enjoys gaming, storytelling, and finding creative ways to connect faith with everyday life. He believes God has gifted everyone and loves helping others discover how their talents can be used for God’s glory.

Captain Nick is honored to serve as the Male Dean for CHFA and is looking forward to an unforgettable week of creativity, community, spiritual growth, and seeing God glorified through the talents of each camper.
